I’ve grown tired and unintrested in getting involved with the Ministry. Alam ko namang mangingialam ang mga manang at manong sa simbahan kaya magkakandaletse-letse na naman ang mga buhay at plano namin para sa mga kabataan ng aming parokya, kaya ayaw ko na muna.

I know that the elders would once more meddle in our affairs and screw up our plans so before it happens again I’m bolting out, I’m just simply tired of wrestling with the jurassic generation of church people in our parish, who refuse to wake up and realise that their time has ended and now it’s our turn to run things in the church. It’s the old refusing to give way to the new. Though I enjoyed this kind of struggle in the past, I seem to have lost interest in it for now. God help me. God help us the youth.

If there’s nothing to clean, I also volunteer to look after my youngest brother who’s six years old now. The little rascal is always off running around playing with the other kids. He loves to play so much he often skip meals just continue playing outside. Ang kulit-kulit talaga. At dahil dalawa ang puyod niya, medyo kakaiba rin mangatwiran at magtanong. Yung tipong makakalbo ka sa kakulitan niya.

I actually plan on really teaching him about computers next year, just the basics though, no games at the moment. Ubuntu has some great educational programs that I think would do good for him, and since it is Ubuntu, he will be the first and only kid in the neighborhood who would know how to use not only Windows but also Ubuntu Linux. Lastly, when he gets a bit older, it’s going to be blogging for him.

Your days of daily insulin shots, fearing blindness, amputation and other complications are now numbered as a new research has succeded in using pig embryo tissues transplanted in mice to grow insulin-producing tissues in the pancreas of mice with diabetic-like conditions. The research paves the way for pre-clinical trials that will improve this procedure so that it could be used to treat human patients afflicted with diabetes….Yes, you read it right, a study has discovered some Mosquito genes that help the insect fight off the Plasmodium parasite that causes the deadly malaria disease in humans. Throw in some genetic engineering and in the future, we may have mosquitos that are actually helping in the eradication or controll of this age-old human killer.
