Slowly, but surely, Microsoft is moving into the present-future trend of “cloud computing”, according to InfoWorld which says that MS’ CEO Steve Ballmer giving hints about “Windows Clou” OS:
Within a month, Microsoft will unveil what Ballmer called “Windows Cloud.” The OS, which will likely have a different name, is intended for developers writing cloud-computing applications, [...]

Still unable to blog regularly due to a stressful weekend and week opener, more on this tomorrow, but I’d like to share a few links and scribbles on why Microsoft is stuck in the Jurassic age - so to speak.
First up, the great Mike Abundo becomes bluntly honest is saying that the second Microsoft Ad [...]

Back in December, I wrote about how Microsoft has made rather discreet upgrades to their free e-mail service, Hotmail. It was in preparation for its supposed transition into the new Windows Live Mail brand.
Three days ago, Microsoft have made a turn-around and decided not to push through with the upgrade of Hotmail into Windows [...]

BBC Technology News, an add-on to Microsoft’s popular word-processing software MS Word that allows users to finally open and save documents in the Open Document Format has been released.
What could we gain from this?

Once more industry leaders are on it, Microsoft and HP, as Gates noted in his speech has introduced the Windows Home Server. A central place where our “photos, music and videos can be saved to the system and accessed from many other devices in the home and even remotely via the internet.â€
Once the home is indeed wired, networked and connected in a system run by a central home server where any home device could connect and interact on it, the alarms could go up once it is connected to the biggest network in the world, the internet. Privacy and security issues would evolve into something we could’ve never thought of before. Laws would again be stretched and twisted to various degrees and situations.

So we’re still in the transition from Hotmail or MSN to Windows LIVE. Once that is complete, we Hotmail users would become automatic Windows LIVE MAIL users in the near future. So what else is new?

This a bit snobbish attitude of mine probably stems from my lack of interest and enthusiasm in Windows LIVE and its components like LIVE Mail. Which I think has its roots from my bigger lack of interest in Windows Vista. But that is another story.

Mac users and wannabes all over the world were treated to a splendid selection of excellent, brilliant, down-right hilarious and catchy commercials that only the advertising geniuses at Apple could come up with. These short films sparked and galvanized a cult following that has made Macs and Apple true icons of our digital age.
The post has even inspired me to prowl YouTube.com for something of the similar theme. What I found are spoofs of the now popular ‘Get a Mac‘ commercials which are witty and funny in their right. The spoof vidoes could either be a dessert after watching all Top 10 Apple videos I’ve mentioned or something that would put me and my blog in the blacklist of die-hard Mac afficionados.
Maybe the rumors were true, and that Microsoft secretly released a closed beta of a Filipino version of its Windows operating system aptly called, “Microsoft Bintana.” Maybe my best friend of a friend of his friend who had a friend who then knew a friend who had a brother who was among the select-few to test the much controversial version of Windows solely for the Philippines.
Oh snap out of it. Still, inside is a screenshot of what Microsoft Bintana would’ve and could have looked like.
