This problem caused by technology can now be solved by remedy. It measures how much energy has been used and sends this data to a website where you can login and set it to whether cut off or restore the flow of electricity to your appliance remotely. The website better be secure because hackers can break in and cause a lot of havoc including house fires and gadget burnouts that you were wanting to prevent to begin with.

Either way, this new gadget looks promising and it would be a good one to have for those who like to leave gadgets & appliances plugged in or worse, forget that they were plugged in when you left the house or went to bed.
