Philippine Blog Awards: Finalist Spotlight

11 days to go for the much awaited Awards Night for the upcoming Philippine Blog Awards 2007, and yesterday, the excitement has reached new levels as the list of Finalists for both the Main Categories and Special Awards have been released.

First of all, congratulations to each and every single Finalist! Hoorah!

Last night, I went on a blog-hopping spree, visited each and every single Finalist’s blog and invited them to be featured in a new and special blogging series here on The Four-eyed Journal entitled, “The Road to the Philippine Blog Awards: Finalist Spotlight“.

This series will feature an interview of the Finalists as they answer 10 questions that will somehow give us a glimpse of what they think and feel about the Philippine Blog Awards especially now that they amongst the finalists. The interview was conducted via e-mail of which they may or may not answer all ten questions or not be interviewed at all. This little project has the blessing of Sir Abe Olandres, gracious host of the .com.ph bloggers and one of the major organizers of the Philippine Blog Awards.

The aim of this series is to help further promote the event, the Finalists and the Philippine blogosphere as a whole. Also this is my way of helping out and giving something back to the Pinoy blogging community.

Starting today, I’ll post the Finalists’ responses per category, there are a total of 12 Main categories and 4 Special Award categories, each having 5 blogs vying for that prestigious award. That’s a total of 80 blogs, meaning 80 interviews, so this series will be a long one.

Hope you will enjoy this project, blog and spread the word about the awards and the finalists.
