The Japanese have been long famous for their uniquely-designed gadgets that never fails to amuse and amaze people the world over. Japanese gadget maker Strapya is now offering the Music Card MP3 Player that closely resembles the average credit card in size and dimensions.

Some key specs of the player:

  • Dimensions: 5.4×8.6cm, just 5mm thick and weighs 20g.
  • Plays MP3 or WMA format
  • 2GB internal storage
  • 2.5mm audio jack (comes with 3.5mm audio jack adapter)
  • Built-in speakers
  • 15 hours of playing time using just headphones
  • Compatible with PC and Mac

It comes in various designs like a gold credit card, a Cassette tape for the old-school look, vintage camera and chocolate bars. They’re promoting it as gadget that’s so cool, you can score with it. Right….anyways, see if it works in this promotional video:

It reminds me of the adventures of a good friend of mine, which I would not name for his sake. (Sshh! Don’t tell him I linked to him.) Moving on, the player really does play music, it sells at $26.70 USD and it ships worldwide.
