I knew I shouldn’t be taking up Biology

by jhay on July 14, 2007

Here’s another tell-tale sign that I’m taking up the wrong major in college.

WHAT MAJOR IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

You scored as a PoliticalScience/Philosophy

You should strongly consider majoring (or minoring) in Political Science, Philosophy, or related majors (e.g., Criminal Justice, Economics, Geography, History, International Business, Journalism, Sociology, Urban Studies, Women’s Studies). It is possible that the best major for you is your 2nd, 3rd, or even 5th listed category, so be sure to consider ALL majors in your OTHER high scoring categories (below). You may score high in a category you didnt think you would–it is possible that a great major for you is something you once dismissed as not for you. The right major for you will be something 1) you love and enjoy and 2) are really great at it. Consider adding a minor or double majoring to make yourself standout and to combine your interests. Psychology, Sociology, Business Management, French, German, Spanish, Chinese, and Arabic are all great minors for PoliSci majors. Please post your results in your myspace/blog/journal.

I couldn't understand some parts of this article t be taking up Biology, but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.

Nice choices for post-grad studies. It'll be a story I will look forward to. Good luck!

Good guess, but I was exposed to politics and the humanities since I started to call my self an activist way back in junior highschool. The Jesuits tried to 'save' me from the Left by sending me letters of invitation to join their Order but my girlfriend then would be left heartbroken, and my self of course.

I still enjoy Biology and the natural sciences that's why I'm going to finish it for my undergrad. Humanities, particularly Anthropology or Law is next for my post-graduate studies.

Perhaps your exposure in the blogosphere has shifted your interests towards politics/philosophy, but that's just my guess. Hehe. Anyway, we do need more scientists in government.
