I hate Globelines broadband
Where have I been during these past 5 days of being offline?
I was calling up Globelines Broadband customer support service in order to follow up on the restoration of their “unlimited” internet service in our little corner of Silang, Cavite.
It all started back in March 28, 2007 when the broadband service was disrupted due to some problems their main server suffered. The problem they said was Luzon-wide. So it was understandable, but later that day my land-line lost its dial-tone. What the heck happened?!
The problem came from their ‘facilities’, the cabinet of switches, ports and routers they put up in our town plaza. My fellow town-mates who were also on Globelines had to go to their business center in SM City Dasmariñas to file reports about this personally, I was among them. Thankfully, a crew was sent out the following day, March 29 and restored our land-lines to service. Unfortunately, our broadband service was still out, which is what we really and badly needed.
That town-mate of mine owns an internet cafe so his business was literally dependent on Globelines broadband being usable for him to make a living. The same was in my case, I badly needed my internet connection at that time because of the following:
- a blog series to finish before the Phil Blog Awards night
- freelance writing stints
- my first work-at-home paid job as a video editor
The blog series and freelance writing stints are of no major concern, but the most crucial for me was that video editing job of which I have been accepted for just last March 17, meaning to say that I haven’t even made it through to my first month of being employed.
At that time, I just finished working on 3 videos each being 400MB+ in size, which are just impossible for a dial-up connection to handle. To put in more pressure, those videos needed to be uploaded to my boss’ FTP account for him to give to the client on March 30. So I really needed my internet connection, that’s why I called up Globelines customer support service an average of twice a day praying that they keep true to their word that ’service would be restored within 24-48 hours.’
Unfortunately they were not able to do that. Frustratingly, every time I would call, they promised that the service would be restored the following day and that someone from their side would give me a call and give me updates so that at least, I could say something concrete and excusable to my boss every time he would ask me why I’m having delays on submitting my work, but none of the promised phone calls came through.
This drama went on for 5 straight days, from March 28 up to April 1, each and every single day of that dilemma, the same promises were given and were broken. At what cost? The blogging series coming to a halt, my freelancing stints being soured and worst, I lost my video editing job. Wouldn’t this look good in my resume? Not being able to go through the first month of job, because I am an unreliable worker, all thanks to an unreliable telecommunications firm posing as a world-class internet service provider.
This experience has really taught me a lot. It opened my eyes so to speak. It led me to a realization that Globelines is no different from the other ISPs in the country, from this experience I think they are now amongst the worst. It all started when that Taiwan earthquake revealed how crappy Globelines broadband service is, and ever since that revelation, we fellow Globelines customers here in Silang, Cavite have been plagued by that same troublesome ‘facilities/equipment/cabinet’ in our area.
Though I haven’t blogged about it that much, this same problem has been recurring in our area since January of this year. Again for four straight days, our broadband service was utterly useless, and the same promises of 24-hour restoration and phone calls that never came we first experienced on that incident. It’s only April of the same year, meaning that the repair job done last January was only good for like two months. This observation leads me to the following conclusions; a) the equipment they use are substandard, b) the technicians and crew they hire are incompetent, c) Globelines really cares little about its subscribers in Silang, Cavite, or d) all of the above.
Further proof of this is my neighbor who has been on Smart BRO since last year. Before the Taiwan quake his life was a living hell because he’s on Smart BRO while I was a happy and proud Globelines broadband customer, I even encouraged other friends to sign up for their service. After the Taiwan quake, my life is now a living hell while my neighbor has had no problem with his Smart BRO service since then. Would you believe that? I mean hellooo! He’s on Smart BRO!! I’m on a fixed line dsl service, what gives?! Damn it!!!11111
Now I hope that Globelines would keep true to its word this time around and give us that promised rebate for the 5-day service disruption, human aggravation and financial loss. Pray also that they would really, really as in really fix the problem in our area for good. Replace the damned equipment if necessary, but this is for the future customers who would sign up for their services. As for me, I’m just waiting for my lock-in period to expire this coming May and I’m switching to PLDT myDSL for my internet needs, just as Max Limpag did (congratulations on winning the Blog Awards!) who even wrote a break-up post that’s really an eye opener. PLDT’s services may be crappy too, but not as crappy as Globelines’ in our area. Not unless Bayan Telecommunications or SKY happens to offer its DSL services here in our area, I’d be more than happy to sign up for it.

we’ve been using globe broadband (1 mbps)now for about 5 months. at the first few weeks, it was ok but for the succeeding days, it went crappier and crappier (and crappier).CRAP!!. now the connection sucks you cant even stream on imeem, even entering his site took me about 3 mins, that sucks! im from dagupan btw.
Im from North Caloocan, i have Wireless Broadband from Globe which is really sucks! I lost the sim of Globe’s Wireless Modem on the 4th week of May so I reported the issue right away to the Customer Service on 31 of May. Luckily, a tech has come out to my premise after 2 days but i was surprised when the tech told me that he has no sim for the modem coz the report was about modem’s issue. OMG! So tech advised me to call Customer Service to report it again which I did. Agent advised me to go to their business center to report it personally which I did again to think my place is a bit far from SM North. So the rep put a report for Sim Card Replacement. After 2 days, a tech came out again. I was surprised for the 2nd time, tech hasnt brought a sim for the modem and he thought that it was a Sim Card Error. THE HELL! GLOBE’S STAFFS ARE GETTING TO MY NERVE NOW! So same advised from the tech, I called Customer Service to report it for the 3rd time and i was being promised. I have been so nice every time i call them. I waited for 2 weeks and i havent heard anything from globe so I decided to call them and i was being promised again. Until now, I’m still waiting. Sigh…
It has been so many days of waiting… and if still they didnt do something on this, I’ll go to their business center and will bring the modem and cancel the contract.. they were the one who bridged the contract.. hate them so much.. I am so frustrated now!
this might be a late reply to this topic but this globe broadband really sucks… its almost 2 months since i acquired my connection from globe & i haven’t enjoy it.
walang araw na di ako naiinis dito sa kumpanya na ito. i arrived here in teh Phils on March 29. 3months ako sa Manila before returning abroad dahil sa extended work vacation which i didnt get in 3 years. ayoko na magpakabit ng linya sa internet dahil 3mos lang naman ako dito so I wentto megamall and went to smart para bumili nung broadband nila, out of stock sya so i decided to use the Globe Tatoo.
When u call them sabi NETWORK RESTORATION. so sa isip ko ok lang ginagawa pala nila ung linya. then i noticed na lagi na lang may network restoration. i called them and sent them email threatening them na i will make a reklamo sa NTC. so what can u expect, puro apology sila etc etc. this problem has caused me a lot of trouble. My GF thinks na i dont wanna chat with her anymore dahil while we chat, type ako nang type pero nawala na pala ung conection nang di ko alam so im waiting for her reply..i cannot watch youtube for news, cant see my important mails. Once my boss sent me an important email, walang internet so I had to go out and drive to the nearest mall para mag internet lang! what a trouble. i have sent them email again and now they dont reply. My GF doesnt want to believe na ganito ang sitwasyon ng internet connetcion dito sa Pilipinas but I tried to explain to her na ganito talaga. We have to do action on this at ireport sila sa NTC or DTI.
bcoz of my frustration sa globelines, i hired some independent technician dahil bobo ang mga technician ng globelines in order to help me on this one, and guess what di speedtest yung mga ginawa ng mga technician talaga, they really fixed and configured all data in my registry keys and subnetwork command…and kahit pano i received 1mb na ngayon kapag walang network restoration.
here’s the step they did to my computer..try niyo guys para kahit pano di tayo ma-highblood.
step 1: get your wan ip address at http://192.168.1.1/ click status, click wan( ur wan default gateway)
step 2: open cmd.exe(command prompt) type “ping -t (ur wan ip ) and press enter…example
“ping -t 203.127.1.1″
step 3: analyst the data/tracert
sample
“reply from 192.168.1.1 bytes=32 time=30ms ttl=64″
kapag more than 140ms ung time mo ibig sabihin slow connection, kapag more than 300 naman ung ttl mo slow connection din.kapag “request time out’ ala connection or unreachabe net destination” intermittent connection.
step 4: download this registry editor network connection to fixed the problem download tcp optimazer
step 5:run the program as admin and change the setting …
Try the following with TCP Optimizer:
General Settings tab:
Custom settings – check
Modify All Network Adapters – check
network adapter selection – your NIC
MTU – 1450
TTL – 64
Windows Scaling – check
TCP Receive Window – 129720
MTU Discovery – Yes
Black Hole Detect – No
Selective Acks – Yes
Max Duplicate ACKs – 2
TCP 1323 Options:
Timestamps – uncheck
Advanced Settings tab:
Max Connections per Server – 10
Max Connections per 1.0 Server – 10
LocalPriority – 5
Host Priority – 6
DNSPriority – 7
NetbtPriority – 8
Lan Browsing speedup – optimized
QoS: NonBestEffortLimit – 0
ToS: DisableUserTOSSetting – 0
ToS: DefaultTOSValue – 80
MaxNegativeCacheTtl – 0
NetFailureCacheTime – 0
NegativeSOACache Time – 0
LAN Request Buffer Size – 32768
(then click apply changes and automatically reboot) trust me on this one guys at eto manual bigay ng mga technician ng dsl(not from globe)
for advance user do this step pero ingat lang ok…
step 1: open http://192.168.1.1/globe/
username and password required
username:Admin
passsword: 3UJUh2VemEfUtesEchEC2d2e
then optimized what you want pero ingat…
then press commit/reboot… then its done!
kapag di umilaw ang data just go this page http://192.168.1.1/ click connect….
@art thanks for the info, it really help me alot..eto kapag walang restoartion sobrang bilis na yung internet ko…i just download the ip/tcp and change the binary data..wooooohhhh ok na..
basta wag lang may restoration at walang internet..i believe it convert the internet connection from globe into small packets para kahit mahina internet connections pinapasok parin..thanks art and yup ur ryt wala kwenta talaga technician ng globelines and they never figured it out but thanks to you ok na to..
DON’T GET MAD, GET EVEN!!! Hit them where it hurts. WITHOLD PAYMENT’ UNTIL OUR CONCERN HAS BEEN ADDRESSED OR REFUSE TO PAY FOR THE TIME YOUR SERVICE WAS INTERRUPTED.
Going to NTC is useless, c’mon, do you really think they will help you? idont think so.

I really regret that I have subscribed to Globe Broadband. I live here in Angeles City and I didn’t have connection from April 3 till now (05/25/09). I kept calling the customer service (02-919-8888) I also went to the Business center @ SM clark almost everyday. However, I felt that the CSR or their tech people are not competent. Can’t help but to blow my top…. grrrrr. They kept on telling me they’re doing this & that…. Worse is I have to pay for the monthly bills. I just don’t know where to elevate my complains….
hi ngayon week lng ako nagkaroon ng connction mag one month na walang connection and this morning i received the bill of globelines for two weeks kasi hindi ko binayaran yong last monthb ko kasi nkakainis na at buntis ako sinugod ako sa hospital its because sa sobrang stress ko sa globe kasi ako na yong inaaway ng husband ko nagkaspottings ako.magdusa sila if they ant ko disconnect my connection its up to them i will not pay the rest omly the two months.sa pag globe user ko araw araw restoration ang excuses nila hindi naman tama yun.and if mag disconnect ka you should pay 17k!ok lng sila..
Anu ba yan Globelines?
Kilos naman jan.
Suggestion lang, DON’T PAY. Get even with them. I there will be lots of gobe subscribers who will no longer pay them if their service is still crappy, maybe they will improve their service.
Dont expect the NTC or the DOTC to act on your complaint. They never will. I’ll bet my ass on it.
You are like a small insect to them, easy to ignore, but if we get together very soon they will feel the sting.
Dont worry about the collection letter or their threats, its just that, THREATS.
WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO DENY PAYMENT FOR UNFULFILLED SERVICE.
i want to change pldt but pag mag disconnect ako sa kanila i should pay 17thousand ang sama nila.ang sama pa naman ng connection nila.kahapon pumunta dito sa bahay ang technician nila pinalitan ang modem na aztech yong brand tapos ganun pa rin tumawag ako ngayong umaga ganun pa rin sh*t yang restoration na yan.sana magsama tayong lahat at para maayos na yong problema natin hindi natin makaya yong 1yr lock in na sinasabi nila.hai nko dahil lng sa kanila ang mga trabaho natin palagi magkaproblema..
Think of this way, do you think Globe will file charges in court if you do not pay your bill or disconnection fee?
The way I see it is Globe will be spending more money and resources than what they hope to gain if the bring this matter to court. They will be even be afraid of the bad publicity they will get if the media finds out about that “Big Bad Corporation” using all its powers to squish one little subscriber like you.
But its just me, I might be wrong, but think about it. If we are so pissed about their service, why not stop whining and get even. Just like jhay here, he started a blog. Me? I like the direct approach.
..ng apply me s globe brodband dahil nung pumsok cl s area nmin….
hai…its been a week or so since i post my last message here and until now ang pota at wala parin internet ko…f**K i am using smartbro prepaid kit now at laki na ng gastos ko,pota walang silbi ang globelines dsl buti pa smartbro prepaid kit khit 50kbps lang bigay may silbi e ang globelines dsl na 1mb ko khit 1kb lng wala pa bigay….kung meron man lagi naman ako disconnected!
can globe make a way to solve this f**king problem,or i will suffer more coz may lock-in period!
damn you globelines..you dont give us what we really deserve….we pay high fees for your service pero kau wala kayong kwenta….
at first globe had the best service but after that globe give us the miserable life…..we dont subscribe for luxury but for my online job…pota wala na nga ako kita dahil sa globelines puro pa ako gastos dahil sa globelines, magkakasakit pa ako sa puso or highblood dahil sa globelines……lagi na ako nagmumura dahil sa globelines …..
hai pota talaga…..sorry for the bad words but i need to bring out my anger against this pathetic network! 1 year pa ako suffer sa network nila(lock-in period)
hi art si colie pala ako pwde man siguro tayo mag gawa ng complain letter ako rin 1yr din pero hindi ko na ma take pa ang connection sa globe and were not also deserving na mag bayad ng malaki if gusto natin magdiconnct sa kanila ok lang sana kung ok yong connection pero hindi eh..i thought globe is good ang galing pa naman ng agent nakipagusap sa akin pinuntahan pa tlaga ako sa bahay ko and then all lies lang pala..sh*t nila
hai..pota talaga ang globe, and i am making a remedy for this…pota dapat tayong magcomplaint sa DTI.NTC or dotc dahil sa mga kapalpakan ng mga toh!…
damn globelines promotions are fraud…yes it true and i dont tell lies here cause i am a customer of this f**king isp provider..pota kayo globe mahal pa ng bayad ko sa inyo hanggang simula lang kayo…..
magsend kaya tato ng letter sa dti noh?grabe tlga ang globe now lang ulit nagkaroon me ng connection cge putol putol hai nko…..
my classmate in college recommended globe because he said the connection is fast and perfect. no lags etc. so i have convinced my sister to apply for this service. at first it was fine but in the succeeding days.. i noticed there is frequent disconnection. so we called the hotline and they have sent a technician. it worked out just fine on that day. but… as time goes by… our connection is unstable… there is no time in a week that we won’t experience any bad connections from globe.
and this month… 5 days and counting,…. can’t connect to my favorite online game.. i can browse.. but there are some websites that keep on giving me an error message which says “TCP error..” or “Network connection failed” etc etc.
i also check the speed at 2wire.com it dropped to 0.00kbps like for several times. i dont know what’s really with this sucky internet service provider.
i keep on calling the customer service but i get the same reply over and over again. as if i am talking to a ROBOT.
i hate the lock-in system too… we really want to subscribe to other ISP but can’t because of a more higher fee to be paid if you disconnect your globe that have not yet reached 1 year. damn!
the worst thing here is when you have a computer shop im sure one of these days your shop will close because of an unstable internet connection.
globelines if you can’t offer as quality services better remove it don’t offer it anymore. im sure everyday.. lots of people will keep on complaining.
globelines
… poor customer service
… low quality internet connection
… incompetent technicians and engineers.
Globe Broadband really sucks di ako maka net ng maayos at makapaglaro sa favorite online game ko ang ran online this was started in april 24,2009 in our area in Leyte i dont know if other area is affected for what im calling in 171 they always said there having a system restoration and now its been 5 days that i have no net at palagi potol2x connection ta3 talaga globe broadband maganda lng kayo sa simula di naman maayos serbisyo nio puro kayo bisyo.
globelines is the pathetic network i ever experienced…i’m here in cebu and i always experience this intermittent connection and disconnection, compare to my previous connection in luzon i used smartbro and digitel and both are good and it had stable connection…e ang pota ng globelines laging restoration na lang palusot…pakxet globelines i pay 1200 plus for 1mb connection pero bigay niyo 235kbps…pota kau suki na ako sa hotline niyo pero ala naman kayo action pagdating sa pag solve ng problema namin…
i really hate globe but i dont have any choice coz may lock-in period….pakxet!
ako nga nag ask ako if ever mag stop na me sa globe ano ang dapat gawin ko sabi nil i should pay 17thousand for the tel.phone daw ang sama noh sh**t nila..
I would love to list every single inconvenience Globelines has caused us, but it would be a very very long list. Bottom line is don’t even try applying for a Globelines connection. As with my experience, it’s not worth the headache. Go with Bayantel or Smartbro. Smartbro might be slower compared to other DSL providers, but the connection is very dependable.
grabe naman…wag naman sana mangyari sa akin ang ganun.. but we are just humans may mga pagkukulang din…don’t be so naked with the words!itching!
I sooo hate Globelines! Our connection was interrupted last 27 March 2009 thanks to an unannounced “maintenance” in our area. I had to complain about the connection problem before being informed of the said “maintenance”. I checked with their 24 hour service hotline on Monday to check when they will finish their “maintenance” and was told that they have no freakin idea when regular services will resume. I phoned again the next day to be informed that they have finished their “maintenance” and that they don’t see any problem with our whatever box thingy, we still can’t connect to the internet. I was, for the nth time, asked about how many lights are on in my modem. I was really, really getting frustrated that I snapped at the customer service rep and recited to him my modem’s brand, the number of lights on & & the blinking link light. I was promised that they will send a technician within 72 hours & I was like, oh, ok, so I’ll just stay in & wait for your freakin tech guys since you can’t give me a time or even a part of the day! This morning a tech guy texted me “Ma’am, sa globe po 2, wala pong tao sa haus nyo” It was just too much, I called up the poor guy who received another batch of my wrath & told him “Ay sorry, wait lang uuwi na ako. Why can’t you just check the freakin connections!? Nothing was moved inside our house, our computers are all okay, we tried the connection using the modem you provided & another one, nothing worked, the wires inside are all okay, nothing loose so just do whatever you can outside! We will call again if there’s still a problem” the guy answered: “May internet naman po kayo eh” . What the hell!? So nag fo-follow up ako kasi trip lang!? Grrr!
@Johann,
Any updates with your connection?
I’m also from Marilao, here in Abangan Norte. I’m planning to switch from SmartBro to Globelines since it offers faster speed than Smartbro.
My friend from Valenzuela, a Globelines user used to tell me how fast his internet connection was, so I was intrigued to switch to Globelines as well.
Bayantel ng tropa ko in Valenzuela, so-so I can say.
Sabagay, marami rin namang reasons at factors that affects the net connection.
1mbps ako at madalas lumalagpas ako.
Former PLDT dsl user ako for over 5 years, mas bulok ang PLDT compared sa globe. Tuwing ginagamit namin ung phone, napuputol yung dsl at need mong magrestart ng modem para lang maka-connect. less than half ang speed na nakukuha ko. minimum of two weeks bago intindihin yung request or complaint mo. di ko maiwan yung pc ng 24 hours kasi madalas DC connection ko. pag peak hours, lag ang connection ko. hiwalay ang bayad sa phone at dsl. I’m from protacio st. pasay… malapit lang kami sa PLDT office.
from experience, mas satisfied ako sa globe.
FYI, walang magandang ISP dito sa pinas. may ibang sinuswerte, maganda connection pero trust me, it won’t last long hehehe.
since the day i had my globelines connection, walang araw na hindi ako nairita….. i have to restart my pc ang modem for about an hour at swerte kung makaconnect ka….everyday suki na ako ang kanilang customer service hotline and there’s nothing na naitutulong nila although very accomodating naman sila to be fair to them. ti think na naningil pa sila ng advance payment then hindi rin nmn pala nila masatisfy ang kanilang clients…….attention globelines philippines!!!! pakiasikaso nmn po un mga pinagmamalaki nyong connections!!!!

GLOBELINES laking perwisyo sa aming mga cafe owners, laging disconnected at malog ang mga games.ngayon system restoration daw ang ginagawa nila, call up 9198888 or 171 in ur globe cellphone and ull hear that same note, sometime this week normal operations will come back kuno, dis is not a matter of disconnect and connect the other day,its all about our business being sabotage, nalulugi kami sa mga ginagawa nila, our customers are getting few day by day, kahit anong isp laging ganito ang problema,no stability on sa part nila, mabuti pa meralco kahit mahal bihira mawala, sana naman nag mga mambabatas natin may magawa sa mga abusadong mga isp nato, kahit man lang babaan ang subscription fee monthly total poor services namana sila…..bweeeeeeeeeseeeeeeeeeeeeeeetttttttttt.
GGLLOOBBEE nakakairita talaga, biro nyo naman im a bookstore owner here in imus cavite, malagasang 1st.i apply for a internet coonection @ GLOBE dasma SM,im applying for a residential connection,i told them im using it to my bookstore shop, they say i have to apply for a business connection,i think it should not be the case of how many computers us customers matters,we apply for a certain speed dats wat we want dats wat we can afford and its our problem if our connection is slow we know wat we our doing, the speed they gave us is the speed we are paying for,we pay for the speed not the amount of kbps or mbps we get for you,its ur policy to give us the speed not the quantity of download speed you gave us,understood, kailangan ko pa bang tagalugin, indiendes amigo tonto eh GLOBELINES….
I am a subscriber of Globe broadband bundled wireless landline and internet connection.
Starting the installation of that wireless internet. Paputol-putol… I tried to call customer service many times but yung ginagawa nilang action is parang temporary lang. There is a connection now, tomorrow its loss…. Naiinis nalang ako pag naririnig ko na yung magic sentence nila na “sorry for the inconvenience” at yung pamatay nilang “restoration to your area”. Since December 5, 2008. Wala po akong magawa as a subscriber…
Kung may connection man… sa YAhoo Messager ayaw kumunek….. Tang ina!!!
i apply to globe bro and they said i will have that after 1week but after 3 weeks i dont have it.after 3weeks and 2 days the technicians came and installed the satellite.and he called himself spiderman but the time he climbed to install the satellite i feel the guy is really uncomfortable to climb.the result of this my satellite is not high enough to catch the signal and he put it in a back of my house but the signal of my city is infront of my house.i asked him to put in a front but he told me its ok.the connection i experienced is like limited and disconnected always.i call the technical services about two weeks and any reply.so desperate i am i take the ladder of my dad and i transfer the satellite infront of my house and i put it the higher possible.and now i experienced a lot better speed than before.but that auto-refresh modem disconnect me sometime automatically.and i need to reset the modem and everything come back in normal.its really boring for download if im always disconnect.i tried bayantel and smartbro before globe bro.my opinion the fastest speed is globe bro but the connection is not stable and they are most disgusting customer service if there is one.my advice just try to know where is the main tower of your city and re-install higher your satellite to catch more signal.
GLOBE TO THE WORLD…..?cavite hates you, mula coastal hanggang tagaytay cavite globe suicks
(pero dapat after 1 day ok na eh)
Sa mga bad experiences sa globe bro na nabasa ko sa globe, I think I will just stick to my smartbro. Where do you live by the way? I am from Misamis Oriental, CDO
How do consumer even be treated this way??
Mine was just 4 days old and now no internet connection and no phone line! this is a real nightmare! And to my surprise they said that it would take 1-5 days!! hah!! why would we want an internet service in the first place if we want to be left behind??
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!
@Mang Tomas –
their customer service sucks. called 10 times and got the same vague generic response “we will follow up and escalate ur concern to the technical support department”. ALso emailed customer service but got no response. Nobody at Globe actually cares for its customers. Pang display lang yung business center at hotline nila !%$$%@%^#*&@^*^
ganyan din sa akin sabi 3-5 days tapos naging 7-10 days. natapos ung 7-10 days wala pa rin. tumawag ako puro sila palusot kung bakit di pa mainstall internet namin.
kasi minsan no choice e. tulad ng bayantel, maraming nagsasabi na maganda service nila e hindi naman offered sa lugar namin. i am currently a subscriber of globe. grabe kapag 5pm to 10pm araw araw nawawalan ng connection. di pa maaccess ung ibang site. at saka ang bagal parang dial up ang connection. may isa pang isp dito ah, ung happy. kaso nga lang next year pa ung para sa residential internet nila. corporate pa lang ang inooffer nila ngayon e… well let’s see about that.
Barangay Palatiw Kanan Pasig
I am one of those who hate Globelines but I don’t have any choice.. No other ISP’s are available in our place.
this problem is nationwide…i have also experienced techs reason that my line disconnected because they mistakenly pulled out my connection when they installed a new connection..before that, customer service insisted that my connection was ok and i was connected to thier servers…i’m just lucky i had a classmate at assigned at thier switches and he told me the connection was wrong, it was then that the techs told me the real problem, without even apologizing….thier speed is good because there is speed burst every 5 hours for 5 minutes, other than that speed is at 30% lower than your subscribed speed…@tads -
I think the company must do something about their services. we do patronize globe services but we’re starting to experience some problems. Especially their internet connection. i’ve been so desperate to contact globe’s customer care service this past few weeks. Worse than that i can’t. this is too much. The company should be customer oriented. we’re paying for nothing. please do give a response to our complaints.
Last October 3, 2008 around 8:30 pm (kararating pa lang namin ng bahay from work), I checked my internet connection with Globelines Brokeband and ALAS! wala na naman kami connection. So the usual, tawag ulit ako sa customer service nila and followed the same old routine they gave us everytime wala kami internet.
October 4 at around 9:20 am.
Amput!@#!$. Call ulit ako sa customer rep nila.
Hanggang ngayon, October 7 na. wala pa rin kami internet connection. wala din tumatawag man lang sa amin or pumupunta para mag-repair or mag-onsite support sa area namin.
Tumawag ako sa billing nila kanina at tinanong ko kung magkano ang rebate per 24 hour of no internet connection. Ang estimate nya ay 100 pesos a day daw. pero check ko pa rin daw sa Globelines business center nila dahil yun daw ang magpapasya kung magkano.
Reasons why you gotta love Globe Brokeband! (SARCASM included!)
hope to hear you comment guys.. it wil help me decide better.. kasi ayaw kong magbayad ng pre -termination na 6 thousand pesos..
tnx..
grabe. im having the same experience now. mine is that i’m applying for a broadband. the technicians said 3-5 days including working days. they’ve acted unprofessional also by selling vitamins to me.
i’ve been calling them for 4 days. they don’t give a time. they even said that it’s actually 7-10 days. I was pissed because they don’t do what they said they’d do.
not the first hassle with Globe.
i am having the same problems everyday of my life as well… i am into on-line tutorials to Korean kids… every week i would be absent for a day or two because of internet disconnection…or i need to rush and go to the nearest internet cafe to handle my classes, very inconvenient…i am a very patient person, but i finally lost it with the service they are giving me…i am just waiting for my contract to end and goodbye Globe Broadband forever…
OMG, I had cases like that too. It pissed me off and up to know kc im into online jobs din.check out my site about my rantings too.
shieryl tornaquias last blog post..MY GLOBELINES BUNDLE CONNECTION
BASTOS TALAGA ITONG GLOBELINE MANTAKIN MO WALA AKONG UTANG UPDATED ANG PAYMENTS, KO PINOTULAN AKO NG LANDLINE AT INTERNET ANONG KLASING KOMPANYA ITO SALAULA KUNG SINONG WALANG UTANG MINAMALTRATO SAMANTALA ANG MGA MALALAKI UTANG D PINOPUTALAN HOY GLOBE GISING ANONG KLASING POLISIYA YAN.
Now im experiencing naman trouble with pldt aplication ang tagal sobra…….one month na ako hintay service order!
I ALSO HATE GLOBELINES LANDLINE
I shifted from Bayantel to Globelines because of the Internet package. After several days our phone is dead. I called Globelines so many times. I never got to speak with somebody there. A computer-generated voice answered and then it just went off. Many times! I want to go back to Bayantel or PLDT but I am locked-in for a year with Globelines. I have to pay them thousands of pesos if I have their line cut before a year. Can any power out there help me out of this predicament? In the Information Age, how can I live without a phone– a land line? Who can help? Can NTC help? Would-be subscribers to Globelines, think twice or thrice!
i have been a subscriber of globe broadband for more than a year. i havnt experienced any improvement on thier service since day one. dial up is much much faster than this. starting this month i will not pay my globe bills anymore! F#$k you globe!
This goes to show how inept globelines really is.

Have you ever heard the phrase, “too little; too late”? Frankly, its too late!!! If this is the way you conduct your business there in Metro Manila, to hire more people, and fire a lot more.
It took you almost a month just to read and reply to my email, I guess this gives me an idea how long will it take to solve this problem.
Thanks, but no thanks. You should come down here in Tacloban, your guys here are way better than you.

Good day,
Please be advised that I was authorized to inform you that Mr. Guerrero Dionco has decided to cancel his Broadband and Landline subscription with your so-called Company.
After waiting for eleven days; despite numerous calls to your inappropriately named Customer Care Hotlines, no repair was made or even any feedback given whatsoever. Your broadband service was intermittently available, there were no outgoing calls, there were incoming calls but it is a one way conversation since the caller is the only person who can hear the other party. The last call center operator that I was able to talk to has promised me to call me back within the day for any feedback, as usual nothing happened.
I don’t think that sending an email will also result to any action on your part, but in case such event may be within the realms of remote reality I am making this effort.
Details are as follows:

This is to inform you before hand, they are unable to spare the 3 hours of their time to personally inform your company at this time. They will visit your office at SM Fairview as soon as they are able. Since the service that they have contracted was not fully delivered, cancellation was the only option left for them.
I really regret the fact that I had recommended that they choose globelines instead of Bayantel since I am a subscriber to your

Subject: Cancellation of Internet and phone service
Dear Globe,
Please be advised that I wish to cancel my account #________ for internet and phone service effective immediately. Globe has failed to provide and maintain a stable internet connection to me and periods of no internet at all have lasted as long as three weeks under the guise of a so-called “System Restoration”.
This kind of “service” is intolerable.
Repeated attempts to resolve this issue with Globe Customer Service agents were not only futile but obviously scripted to make promises Globe has not kept and obviously cannot keep. Your obligation to provide a stable internet connection is a basic element of our contractual agreement and Globe has treated me with only contempt.
Furthermore, I was promised one month of free service as an incentive to activate service with Globe but I did not get it. I still have the leaflet that says if I subscribe from November 2007 until December 2007, I am entitled to avail Globe’s promos, and since I want so bad to have my internet, I subscribed, and I chose the 1 Month Subscription Free over the printer since I am not going to need the printer. And guess what? I got my first bill which has a one-day billing period and when I called Globe Customer Service, she said that that is the supposed 1 Month Subscription Free and its not even free at all! I asked her how could that happen? I was supposed to have my first month subscription free but she said that that is system generated and that there is nothing they can do about it. I was really disappointed. I was attracted to Globe and that 1 Month Subscription Free had a big impact on me because I thought it was true.
Regarding this advertisement, based of the RA7394 or Consumer Act of the Philippines Title III – Protection Against Deceptive, Unfair and Unconscionable Sales Acts or Practices; Chapter 1 Article 48 to 52. I just want to highlight Article 50 Prohibition Against Deceptive Sales Acts or Practices – A deceptive act or practice by a seller or supplier in connection with a consumer transaction violates this Act whether it occurs before, during or after the transaction. An act or practice shall be deemed deceptive whenever the producer, manufacturer, supplier or seller, through concealment, false representation of fraudulent manipulation, induces a consumer to enter into a sales or lease transaction of any consumer product or service.
The total lack of responsive customer service and reliable internet service has caused me to lose my job which was dependant on a reliable and stable internet connection. My patience has come to an end and I will not tolerate any further deceit from Globe. I have received two statements regarding payment of my account through the postal service, it is obvious that you cannot bill people on the internet because your customers would never receive it. Therefore I refuse to pay any payments due and in fact I demand a refund for the 5 months I have had your “Service” because it is defective and completely unreliable. I have since applied for and received good service from another internet provider and I have no intentions of ever being a Globe customer again. Additionally, I cannot and will not recommend Globe to any person I come into contact with.
Sincerely,
uday
udaysexys last blog post..wish list
that is very TRUE! Globe lines has very poor customer service
the broadband in pasig area really sucks!!there has been no internet connection there since june 1 until now!!! we called many times to report it at their call center (919-8888),but they can’t do anything, mga inutil tlaga!!!
bayantel is far different, if may times na nawawala ang dial tone & DSL nila due to bad weather, isang tawag mo lang & they would do something about it, meron agad pumupunta to check the area..nakakahiya para sa mga taga Globe kasi ang ganda nang ads nila pero bulok ang customer service nila!!!they pay so much sa mga celebrity endorsers, but tinitipiid nila ang pagpili nang maayos na call center
i receive another bill from Globe today, and i dont want to pay it, why would i? i lost one of my 2 jobs because of their faulty internet service, i really would like to terminate my subscription from them, but i dont know how, can somebody in here please help me? thanks…

ano ba un.. pati security guard inemail ahaha
ako rin gusto ko iemail lahat ng email addresses sa NTC kaya lang, i have to take advantage na gawin lahat dapat gawin ko while there is internet…nakakalimutan ko tuloy mag email sa NTC.
hey! i hate globelines too! last month lang, i switched from PLDT ’cause exclusive ang Globe sa building na nilipatan. and guess what, 1 day after the installation, i experience intermittent connection hanggang sa nawalan na totally. i was frustated kasi tumatawag ako almost everyday and what i get are promises na may pupuntang technician pero wala namang dumadating. i even got into the point that i have to get the names of the agents na nakakausap ko kasi pare-pareho sinasabi nila but nothing’s really happening. pati supervisors nila nakausap ko na rin. after 1 month of complaining, may dumating and got my connection back. kaso hindi pa rin stable ang connection. yung tipong every 10 minutes napuputol. hay, until today naghihintay pa rin ako na maayos nila yung prob sa connection ko. as usual, promises na naman. nakakapagod at nakakainis na nga eh. wala na ngang choice kasi exclusive sila dito, tapos ganun pa service.based on all the hassles i experienced with their sales agents, technical representatives, supervisors, and field techinicians (yup, ganun kagrabe at kadami na-experience ko), super bagsak talaga ang rating ng Globelines.
Hay nako ako 12 days na wala pa ring connection, and still counting! Paulit ulit lang sinasabi ng tech support na kung sumagot after 30 minutes or more. So since 2007 pa pala sila ganyan, grabe bingi ba sila sa complaints ng consumers??
AMP!!

yeah i agree w/ annie, im a globe broadband user frm mindanao, my connection speed is 1mbps cost only P995, which was installed last May 14, 2008- at first the connection was good, i even encourage my friends to subscribe to GlobeBrdband…within a week i surf the net with nice and fast speed while playing youtube vids, downloading game clients files(350mb-845mb), and install online games(ZhyperMu, Rakion, Tantra, Counquer Online, Ran Online) i love onine game so much…….just last fast two weeks this month “INCREADIBLY” my connection speed is so very slow, when I log In with my online game account, I get disconnected and cant connect, “GREAT” im mad now with my connection, I even ask my sisters to go to their office to fix our connection, ok-they came at our house and they really fix my connection, “HORRIBLY” the connection only stays up to 2 days til now, im getting disconnected every minute when I lauch my Browser or my download manager, my co-worker subscribe with this Wireless SMART Bro, he’s also a 1mbps wireless user, he says that he’s connection speed is great without lags when playing ZhyperMu, I think SMART Bro here is good compaired to GLobeBrdbnd, We hav an existing PLDT landline, I think on switching with PLDT MyDsl, I’m a victim of Globe Broadbands cool ads, posters…
I’m working in a Steelmaking Plant here in Mindanao, I’m no way always concentrating on my field when i arrive at home, it makes you more frustrated, i spend my time at home surfing the net downloading new softwares, play MMorpg games,.etc.
grabe, talaga ang globe…kasi ung mga kinukuha nilang mga contractors incompetent din…pati ung mga handheld phones nila… imagine 2 beses na kaming nagpapalit ng phone this year kasi parang luma lagi ata ung binibigay nila… ano un ginamit nila ulit ung mga used na ipinarepair lang nila…no wonder…? poor quality na.!!!
last Monday June 9, 2008 nawalan din kami ng broadband tapos natawag ko lang siya nung june 11…kasi akala ko baka nag-uulan e babalik din after 1 day… tapos iyon till today June 20 wala pa ring nagpupunta sa service crew ng globe or from globe’s partner contractors… wala till now…kainis talaga… ang tagal mo na ngang hinihintay ang sagot ng operator… sa haba ng tugtog na narinig at ilang beses na “pls stay on the line” ang maririnig mo lang sa knila e sorry po… naforward na po sa engineering team namin and soon and soon…blah blah bhalh…lang…
GLOBELINES SHOULD TAKE A LOT AT THESE PROBLEMS…
Teacher SEN po ito…..
Im from Dasma Cavite and just recently been a “consumer” of globe BBBundle…2 po ang anak kong nagkokolehiyo and sa Phone at Internet po nakasalalay ang pinagkukunan ko ng ikinabubuhay namin. Hindi ko na po isisiwalat at isishare ang aming ekspiriensya sa kumpanyang Globe sapagkat labis lamang po ang aming PAGDADALAMHATI…I guess as consumers, we just have to be work as one and coordinate to file a formal complaint sa NTC and DTI…Understandably, maiintindihan naman natin yung mga excuses ng Globe kung talagang valid (like the effect of the Taiwan or China Quake to their facilities) ang kanilang reasons.

We really thought that switching from smartbro to globelines was
the best choice. Well it was not the best but its just the same, but of course the initial installation went fine, was able to download a 950mb in just 1 hr and 30mins, 1mbps connection. Until
these past days, intermitent connection.
You cant even ping the dns server, which means its really on their side not the modem/router!
sheesh… Dont they even know how to troubleshoot?!
Fck pala tlga ang globe broadband 5days na ako nag susuffer ng disconnection sa net nila.. shit.. disconnect and then reconnect pero the hell asahan mo pang bibilis ulit..lalo lang bumabagal habang 2matagal 2mawag na ako sa customer service nila .. dyosko.. 1hr na ata ako nasa telepono ang sasabhn lang plz keep in waiting wla pa rin sumasagot.. sa 22o lang sana mabasa ng globe tong mga msg natin ng maisip naman nila kung gaanu kapalpak ang serbisyo nila… well before ako nag globe im using smartbro.. mabilis din ang smartbro kea lang ang pinaka kakaasar sa serbisyo nila kpag d ka nakapag bayad.. your fee will increase every month isipin nyo un.. wla ng koneksyon ang smartbro samind na ako gumagamit ng net nila and still 2mataas pa rin ang bayarin… putragis pare pareho lang sila.. pera lang ang mahalaga.. right now im experiencing a major Disconnection on my net.. maihahampas ko na ang modem ko sa sahig eh.. im playing online games and what comes every damn minute its disconnecting shit.. im paying 1,300 pesos for nothing? and now d rin namin magamit ang landline namin kase d pa xa unlimited… ganda ng offer nila unlimted broadband/landline eh pota pala tlga… globe company ausin nyo naman…
Globelines broadband is the absolute worst! Their service is horrible and their technical support people are horrible! I’ve been calling them up over and over again in the past month to complain about a recurring problem we’ve been having with our internet connection. They keep saying that they’ll escalate it to their technicians who’ll fix it. One of them even said he’ll give me a call back to give me updates. That never happened, of course.
Well let’s see…in the past month, I’ve called them an average of 3 times a week. So even if assuming that they’re technicians DID come over to my area to check the connection, obviously they aren’t doing a very good job. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have to call them so often.
Tonight, I called them up again and got a guy named Nico who could not follow that logic. He seemed like he was in such a hurry and was obviously just trying to get rid of me as soon as he can so that he can maintain his metrics.
Smartbro is worst than globelines
mas ok naman yan kumpara sa SmartBro
i just had a 3mb line installed in bacolod middle of may 2008, getting speeds of 300kb down 100kb up so no where near what i am paying for, globelines said it would be fixed in a week or 2 but been more than 2 weeks and not fixed. I believe globeline’s sells high speed lines that they dont have. How long have they been selling broadband that they dont have? who knows, i know i haven’t seen what i paid them for yet. Talking to customer service gets the standard working on it, will be fixed in a week or 2. I have a feeling they are selling high speed connections that they know they are not capable of providing any longer.
- pasig area
So I guess, the better choice then is BayantelDSL? I am using Smartbro and it really suck… BIGTIME!! They promised 384 kbps and all im getting is a lousy 61kbps (currently, i did a speed test). Most of the time, especially on weekends, my speed drops to 31kbps. Hey, i didn’t pay 999 for a dial up service. did i? That’s why i just had my smart bro cut (after 1 year of being locked in)
Anyway, SMART BRO IS NO GOOD. NEVER SUBSCRIBE TO SMARTBRO. I even have a friend with the same complaint regarding PLDT myDSL. And judging from the comments coming here, Globe is no good either. Whew!
Just called Globe awhile ago coz i wanted to subscribe, guess i have to look for another subscriber eh? Their lock in is f****** 2 YEARS!!! good thing, i saw this thread while browsing.
Now, i’m contemplating whether to pursue bayantel dsl. Please please provide comments if i am making a big mistake, bayantel is so expensive (1,999 installation fee). Just want to make sure that iam getting my money’s worth.
Thanks
Guys! Thanks for your comments. I am planning to go for Globe for our 1GB plan for the schools student Online. Guess i have to revise the entire plan…. am in Palawan & can’t assure Globe service will be better here than in your locations….
bluekeys
nasira yun globe landline and internet namin march 31 and upto now (may 1) sira parin
hay globe tlga. i follow up once a day hangang maubos yun load ko sa cellphone. to all thinking about subscibing to globe think again!
globe tlga ang bgal, my connection now? it’s 29kb/s. daig p ng dial up. $#!†!!!!
i used to have the same problems with globe, it really gets disconnected much like every 6 mins, my average undisrupted connection would be, 30 mins-1 hour the most. my modem always returns to 3 lights and after a few seconds, gets connected again, it was really annoying so i had to ask some tech support for that.
i did 2 things (i have a voice and data subscription, btw):
1.) i went to their office (i’m residing in bacolod), complained and asked for their broadband tech support to have my broadband and modem checked. i think it was just lucky of me that their techies weren’t busy at those moments. the broadband was first checked, and my extension line for the modem was changed, coz they said it was possibly malfunctioning already, but then, even after that, the disconnections continued.
2.) so after the problem was not resolved, (since my broadband was connected to my phone line), i also called up their landline repair to check my line. so the next time, it was the landline repair tech that came, coz i also noticed we momentarily get a noisy line. what they did was to change the filter of the phone line (the small box that’s connected to the phone line).
it’s been about three days already since i got everything repaired (hopefully) and my connection has been ok so far, i haven’t got disconnected yet, though i’m still observing.
BUT that is to say, the problem being with your own line, modem etc. and i won’t deny that even before that, globe had really been sucking big time.i pay for a month’s subscription, and yes, i am online for most of the day (let’s say more than 12 hrs), but i could sum a total undisrupted connection of only 3-5 days in one month. just imagine how much money we’re giving away for that little connection. seems like getting myself a prepaid internet card with booster is more worth than that.
but oh well, i can’t really shift to another ISP coz that’s the only one available in our area, plus the lock-in period.
i’m still observing how good my connection could keep up after it has been repaired..
another downside of globe is that they have different contractors for their phoneline techs and their broadband techs, and even main line techs, which means they usually can’t and/or don’t check everything together all at once (which could be very inconvenient for the customers coz it means more waiting time.)
Count me in guys.. im one of those lets say frustrated and angry customers. We lost our dial tone twice which includes my broadband connection. The first one happened january of 2008 wherein our phone doesn’t have i dial tone for two weeks. I called globelines a lot of times, maybe 5 times a day just to be sure that they do what they shoud do. They will always tell you that youll get back your dial tone ASAP. what the crap!!!
The second time we lost our dial tone is without a shadow of a doubt, the worst. We lost our dial tone for almost a month from feb. 24 to march 16, 2008. Same as before, i called and called alot of times, were we go again. Theyll tell you that they are already doing the repairs and according to them they have a problem with their system, that sounds acceptable but the hell!! im the only one without dial tone in our barangay here in makati. Then I told them that im not going to pay my bill if do not deduct the time and money that was lost from me. You know what they said?, “Kayo po ang bahala kung ayaw nyo bayaran”. That was the worst line ive ever heard from a customer rep.
The only reason that im still using globe is beacause of the lock in period but hell if those problems happen again. They will lose customers..
Thanks na lang sa thread na to at I’m warned before I made a stupid move…
I heared that Globelines has a poor broadband service! im using smart bro im not having problem with smart…….. GOOD SERVICE SMART!!!!
this really makes me feel sorry for subscribing in globelines, very worse. I have no connection for almost two months and had to pay it, unreliable service and you cannot trust the call centre agents to do follow up your complaints. Globelines, crappy!!!!
2 days no internet connection from Globe BB, Visayas wide!!!!!!!!!!!!laggy and crappy isp!!!! and my Smart Bro get dc every morning can access the net during afternun
Im here in Oz and Im looking for an ISP so that I can chat regularly with my wife back in San Pedro Laguna. I was set on telling her to apply for Globelines, but after reading your messages, I have definitely changed my mind. So is SmartBro better? Anyone on SmartBro for more than a year now? Would appreciate your comments.
By the way, here in Australia I have not experienced any service interruption using a USB modem. Wish that would be the same case there.
bayandsl sucks!! don’t ever try it!!
got problems with my dsl for 15 days!!
they’ve said that there were 16 of us sharing this dsl connection, and i’m the only one who suffers this agony?! wtf!! enough of that. what’s worse is i’ve filed a report so that i’ll pay less for that certain month (it was actually sept 2007) and to my surprise (tada) there were no history of me filing a report of billing changes neither a history of that 15-day dsl problem!! (the only report that was there was on dec 2006, funny ‘coz i call them every month due to slow connection regardless of the 768Kbps connection)
well, i guess bayanteldsl was really good on cleaning traces of reports filed so customers can’t really argue with them.
nice work bayanDSL!!
puno ng spoilers ung side panel >>>>>>>>>>>
as i’ve known, there were no decent internet service provider here in our country. when it comes to connection speed, our isp definitely lags behind. from the connection itself, you can’t count on their connection stability, and they were the SmartBRO, Globelines BB, and PLDT’s msDSL – providers of poor and crappy connection. i’ve heard several good compliments regarding BayanTel, though im not sure if it is indeed a good internet service provider, but who knows, it might be another isp like the ones i’ve mentioned above.
i’m a globeline internet subscriber for more than a year now, and my experience was no different from the negative comments as stated below…sigh
i’m really sick of them!!!
hell to globelines(innove)! They suck! they provide poor service. worst service provider i’ve ever tried! how dare they advertise their globe broadband bundles when they don’t even give the satisfaction of their current subscribers.
broaband i think sucks>>>>>it seems that customer service and the tech.staff itself have a communication barrier…..i used to be a happpy customer with their ISP not until now>>>im really dissapointed
I have been offline since October. My phone went dead around first week of October but I was still able to use my DSL connection. I reported the case to Globelines/Innove when I paid my bills there. They said they will check and inform me of the status in 48 hours. Forty-eight hours later nothing happens. When I returned from a week-long travel, not only was the phone dead, the DSL as well. So I called up Globelines hotline. The person on the end was courteous and promised to deal the matter within, again 48 hours. He said a repairman will be sent to do some repair. I told them I am alone and nobody will be home most of the time so they better do it when I am home which in the evening and weekends. And I gave them my cell phone number which happens to be globe, too. Forty-eight hours passed away nothing happened. I went on travel again for two weeks and when I returned the phone and DSL is still dead. In the meantime their phone bills never stopped coming. I tried calling again and guess what? I got the standard “we-will-respond-to-your-request-in-48-hours”. I am still waiting for a dial tone.
Ngbbyad lang ako dahil ayoko matulad dun sa iba na hindi nagbabayad bec of their disappointment tapos dahil na-disconnect sila, humahaba pa yung contract nila with Smart Bro equivalent to the number of months na disconnected sila! Hinihintay ko na lang matapos ang contract.
In the end, subscriber tlaga ang talo at panalo tlaga sila.
I dont understand why the company still exists.
RIP-OFF!!!
man, that’s crazy, no wonder you hate globelines. here in the uk we have so many broadband providers then its so easy to switch from one to another
broadband package’s last blog post..MAC-CODE
I am on Bayantel SkyDsl and yes, they are true to their words on their “within 24 hours” service. I am paying 2k a month and I would say its worth every penny on what I am hearing about Globe. Its tempting to switch to a less subscription plan with a higher speed but for now I guess I will stick to my Bayantel.
Had globelines dsl installed recently. Yung plan 995 bundle nila. Walang pinagkaiba sa dial-up or in most instances mabilis pa dial up.
Even in off-peak hours i could hardly reach 24 kbps, e yung subscription ko 384 kbps, kainis. Try ako pldt vibe dial-up sa computer ng utol ko, 42 kbps even during peak hours. Sure walang hidden charges, kaso mukhang fake yong advertisement nila.
Let’s just say na ang Wired nila ay parang Wireless rin minus the factors that affect the disconnections and slow connections. I didn’t say na wala na talagang DC, just less.

I WILL GIVE THE INFORMATION TO CHECK AND REPAIR MY PLAN… MARITES L. VELORIA / BDAY 12-12-70- LOCATED 128 CAIMITO, CEMBO MAKATI,,,, PLS. ATTEND IMMEDIATELY….. PIKON NA KO….
We just newly installed only 1 week ago, plan 1,295, so frustrating, no dial tone, ni internet, what kind of service is this?….note that are located in makati, akala ko ba malakas and signal ng globe sa makati… sa makati lang wala na kayo, huw much more sa mga lugar na malayo….By the way we still in period of testing…. puede bang hindi bayaran to? wala naman kuwenta service niyo…. mag smart na lang ako…. i need your reply immediately…. kasi madali naman mag pakapit ng ibang broadband na mas tipid sa inyo…24 hrs. kabit na…. pls. reply asap
sinabi mo pa! i subscribed to their wireless “broadband” service, and what do i get? internet at a snail’s pace! the growth of my toenails are much faster than the speed of their so-called broadband!
and the tech support people… they say different things. they are consistent with one thing though… they all suck!
and the tech crew? saan ka nakakita ng tech crew na magtatanong pa sa iyo: sir, may problema po ba? anakngpatingka! kaya ka nga pinapunta sa amin para i-check yung problema!
Know there commercial my version of it is…
Globe may isang salita = “Globe walang isang salita!”
During their commercial they also have a line that goes something like. “Tawagan nyo nalang kami pag may kailangan pa kayo” Problem is even if you call they’ll say please wait for 24 – 48 hours. which usually takes 3 – 5 even 7 days for someone to come over.
Globe customer service sucks…
Though my connection is fine now… No more 2 day disconnections… I guess they got tired of me harrasing them hahah
I just got my Globelines internet connected … after 1 MONTH!!! One month of follow-ups and trips to Globe payment center in Parksquare 2 and then G4. One month of phone calls to their customer service hotlines and one month of getting “system enhancements” as the reason for the delay. Got tired of making follow-ups. DON’T GET GLOBELINES!!! Unless you want to experience probably the worst customer service there is. Ang lakas mo sa Globe … crap!
I’ve been a Bayantel DSL subscriber for 1 year now, and everything is working fine. If there is a problem they dispatch a tech the next day.
And also give credit if service is disrupted. They also replaced my modem 3 times now without causing me a single peso, compare to Eastern Telecoms.
I would suggest the next time you call there call center, asked for a Supervisor,
and demand, we are the customer and we are the one who’s providing there jobs.
Well after reading all this i’d like to share my story with globe.
I applied for globe broadband 3mbps package august 19th 2007 and they do claim that installation would be 10 to 15 working days. I had all my requirments in place heck they even called the office to confirm my salary.
Guess what 2 weeks went by then 3 weeks then 4 weeks… man what a long wait. I kept calling their hotline to follow up on the installation they’d just keep telling me to wait 24 to 48 hours and i should recieve a call. after a month and a half of waiting i applied for pldtmydsl and thought that globe will never come. But they did … but guess what when the wires were installed and they hooked up the modem no service… they called it the blinking light.. the guys then pulled out the modem and told me they’ll be back in 2 days to bring it back when they can fix everything up. After which 2 days has passed and no sign of the little twits. So I called their hotline again. And much to my surprise still the same answer please wait 24 – 48 hours. I said i’ve waited more or less 2 months for this connection!! i aint gonna wait forever!! Geez!! and then a week went by saturday came and they finally came back. With a modem and ooohh no more blinking adsl light. it works… was happy for the first 18 hours downloaded stuff at 371kb/sec which was zooming managed to download timeshift demo from nzone.com in less than an 45minutes…. then poof the blinking light again… restarted the modem nothing happened still the same problem… called their tech support… they told me to restart it… I said I already did… Numerous times mind you… But they said try it again… so i did… and said NOTHING!! After which the tech support guy tells me to turn off the modem for an hour while they refresh my connection… After an hour nothing! so they said they will send someone over within 24 hours… I said okay whatever…
24 hours went by nobody came… the 2nd day the guys came to fix it up and it was ok again… they said their cables keeps getting stolen… I said who in the heck would steal cables?? and how often does this happen???? the guy says to me.. It only happened 2 times this month sir… Oh ok so i can expect another down time any time soon…
If anyone from globe is reading this you guys better get your act straight…
But while my connection is live and running it blazes… keeping fingers crossed in hopes that the so called cable thieves don’t strike back. Cause I need the internet to work…
For 2 months had to report at the office which i never needed to.
half of the time i’d just go to a nearby internet cafe and spend 5 hours there and get everything done… atleast found new friends..
but then that’s a whole different story.
Respectfully,
Jim Caryon

I have been having major problems with Globe line Broadband for over 4 months, and now with the 5th Globe tech visits at my home! Last week was the last tech at my house who told me that Globe reduced the DSL speeds in half. Before the reduction my true speed was around 100 on down-loads and my service plan was the 768 speed. You would loss your connection about 6 times a day.
Also I live in Davao City which is a few worlds apart from Metro-Manila–so the problem may be a local problem, meaning any place outside of Metro Manila. After all Davao City is the 3rd largest city in the Philippines with over a few million people, but that means nothing to Globe or the Philippine Government.
Globe over the past several months had reduced speeds by over 50% and are now limiting your access to USA sites–they are redirecting your search to Philippine or approved Philippine sites. Also now their 768K service plan runs at only 56K for the past 3 months –what a joke! Censor, Censor and censor! They must be working with Fools and censoring your views–so maybe they are trying to stop price compares so high goods prices in the Philippine will not look so bad!.
Do not try to watch video news above 56K since it will stop many
times or no picture. At 56K it stops only a few times when it works with a bad video picture! Also down loading data, is mostly at 7kb, so a 25mb file will take you about 4 hours if the line stays up—but mostly the line goes down before the file is down-loaded.

hay naku di nman accessible NTC website. yeah may cncbi silang lock in period pero sindakin mo lang..sabihin mo u think u have the right to not pay termination fees kasi d k nasatisfy sa service nilang palpak!
hell yeah
GLOBE sucks…my COMPLAINTs were pending from Jun 24, 07 until Sept 2.I demanded for a termination and the pay me back for the payments they billed on me. From that peeriod mentioned, I always called and nag and even said bad words to them para aksyonan nila pero unfortunately wLA. Until this Sept, Globe called me to go to their business center for the units to be replaced for their upgraded units. Cust agent told me deactivation will take at least 3 days, and until now HINDE pa din! bwiseet!
I’m actually moving over to globe now. The first broadband i had was bayantel, good speed, well above what they stated on their package. Until they screwed up on our billing which all of a sudden doubled. Then we moved to PLDT. everything was ok at first, but then the economic crisis came, boom, the EVAT was as high as the landline phone bill. Their broadband service is so darn expensive lately. And now were moving to globe. I hope it suites as well.
In short, i guess there is no better broadband provider, we all have to endure the crappy customer service they provide.
globe really sucks. i want to complain to the NTC. Anyone have experience on this?
damn. there’s no bayantel service here in Pureza, Sta mesa. I’l just wait for it na lang. Pangit smart bro kaso wala magawa. plan ko pa man ding mag apply sa globe. wag na lang.. may promo kc cla recently lang: up to 512kbps for 995php
The first time i got too slow and intermittent internet connection on my speak and surf by globe, i blamed it on my computer. I went to the store where i brought my notebook to have it checked. They tried connecting it through their wifi facility and it connected and surfing was real fast (i presume they aint a globe subcriber). Partly, i feel ashamed for barking at the wrong tree.
Having read all your comments about globe as a broadband service provider, i believe we have the number to stand up and forward our complaints against this company to the National Telecommunications Commission. If there be anybody who has the access to NTC and will initiate it, i will be willing to join and sign my name on it.
One thing that worries me is (they said) it has a lock in period. and for pre mature termination, i shall be billed for penalties and so on blah blah blah. Just imagine, we as victim of this product and company, after being dissatisfied of their services, still have to pay??!!! Isnt that be called ” FRAUD”
To Globe Innove people, please respond.
your right dude, GLOBE SERVICE REALLY SUCKS!!!
its not just in silang, CAVITE but in all parts of luzon… there SERVICE is so poor!! DAMN STUPIDS!!! then they keep on telling that they are the best… i think “THEY ARE THE BEST SUCKERS!!”
im on my 5th week having trouble with sns connection
call them to stop sending your bills until they fixed the problem
Well, I have abandoned Globelines SNS since last Saturday July 28, after a nearly 2 day interruption before that. I decided if I will continue on with this, I might be wasting more money than expected. Right now, I’m waiting for my final bill that will reflect the refund I will get.
I since applied to PLDT My DSL Xperience 999, and as of yesterday, I already had a service order from them. Hope they can find me a port by this weekend so next week I can recover my broadband life back. Never have I been more optimistic about PLDT today than the last time. They even have upped their broadband speeds for their DSL to no less than 1 mbps maximum on all of their plans. Cool! However, that still remains to be seen in terms of reliability.
Folks, time to fight back… Here are email addresses of some of Innove’s executives. Not that its going to work… I’ve been sending these folks emails/ complaints for over 3 weeks now and still nothing happens – I guess their system is just plain lousy! They do keep sending the poor tech support joes to my house – as if seeing their faces is going to help! Their tech supps can’t fix the slow connection and this slows down every night at around 8:00PM… its as if they suddenly channeled the bandwidth to call centers serving the east coast area – who just about get started around that time. Talk about business ethics!
Anyway, send your complaints to the bosses of Innove… ENJOY!!!

Nothing is worse than the service that PLDT provides. Their managers are not even polite enough to reply to our letters of complaint.
Malou Escasa’s last blog post..Up For Grabs!
If only I read all your blogs before getting globe’s speak & surf. The reseller told a lot of lies. No charge daw for the modem and wireless phone if i apply on the same day.I paid them 995 the same day and they gave me the phone & modem but when the billing came there was a charge of 300 as installment for the phone.
Mabilis daw since their tower is just at the corner of gilmore. First 3 months , it was acceptable for me. speed never reach 384 kbps but for light browsing & e-mailing its just right for me but this june, hell came. my speed is very erratic ranging from 0 to 60 kbps. globe tech kept on saying they are doing something even to the extent of wanting to check the location of where i placed my modem.
I don’t think I’m waiting for the lock up period to end on Jan2008. i will just gladly pay the penalty of 2 months billing plus the remaining months x 300 (the payment for the phone and modem). my blood boils everytime I see speak and surf.
Globelines is the worst telco in the country!
globelines is SUCKS!!!!
GLOBELINES, THE COMPANY ITSELF SUCKS!!! BIGTIME! THEY HAVE VERY VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. AND THE PEOPLE WHO WORK IN THEIR CALL CENTER ARE BIGTIME LOSERS!
IF U’LL GET PHONE/DSL SERVICE, DON’T APPLY FOR GLOBELINES OR U’LL SUFFER JUST LIKE ME.
–RESIDENT OF PASIG CITY
Yeah! I wish there’d be hackers to put some sort of sign on the globelines website that says: “THE WORST FCUKING PROVIDER EVER!!!”. I can’t even play low-graphics online games on our “1Mbit” connection!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am a globe broadband subscriber and I am with the plan 995 the wireless one. All this time I thought, Im the only one experiencing this lag regarding the broadband internet. Unfortunately, wireless broadband coincides with your views. And i cannot use my internet for over a week now. I am not convinced with their service and your comments are enough proof on how big this issue is. I think a hate mail would be inevitable on letting the globe people know how pissed they’re subscribers are-including me.
im connected with globe broadband. i lost my dial tone… what should i do first?
@ Blueshark:
I already got in touch with some ranking individuals in Globe Telecom last year. They facilitated the remedy of my problems which is good.
Though I remember that the very first complaint I made about Globelines is about hidden charges. When I got my first broadband bill, I was surprised to have been billed for two months!
I asked them for an explanation and said that the extra one-month charge was a sort of coverage in case I’d change my residence and carry with me my Globelines broadband subscription.
WTF?! Who gave them the idea that I was going to change my residence immediately after getting a landline and an internet subscription?
Common sense would dictate that I move to my new residence first before getting a landline and an internet connection. This is a hidden charge because the agent that I talked to in person when I applied for the broadband subscription mentioned no such thing about that advance one-month bill, I asked if there were any kind of hidden charge and like what you boast, she said there were none. It’s not even in the service agreement.
But yes, I was billed for an extra month of service, and when I talked to them again over their customer support line, all I got was the customary apology and an excuse that collecting that one-month advance fee was a company policy. (Ergo, lying about it, hiding it from customers is also a company policy.)
It is understandable that Globelines is in its “expansion” period hence some problems in their services, however, common sense would again dictate that they should refrain from using such ads and instructing their CSRs to keep on promising to customers that “service would be restored within the next 24-48 hours.”
Why would you promise the customer such a thing when you know yourself that you are not fully prepared to deliver such promise?
Such practice is unethical because it is plainly lying to customers. To make it worse, customers are asked to settle their bills days before the stated DUE date on the billing statements. WTF?!
Thank you for reading my blog.
Their Speak n Surf Sucks, they have good download rates but their upload is 7 times SLOWER than dial up. WTFFFF, cant even attach a picture in the mail.
gosh!!!!……ano ka ba naman???
Yeah your right about what you’ve said about the problem
umabot nga dito sa Negros yung connection problem, But naayos naman yung conection dito and thankfully back to normal sya. And you know what….we’re also using broadband here in our ofice. OKIE NAMAN SYA
….I GUESS YOU NEED TO KNOW NA ANG GLOBELINES IS ON EXPANSION PA LANG HINDI KATULAD NG PLDT NA MATAGAL NA SILA NGA SERBISYO SA PILIPINAS MY GOODNESS, MY FRIEND IS WORKING AT GLOBELINES AND HE EXPLAIN EVERYTHING ABOUT WHAT HAPPEN. HINDI BA KAYO NATATAKOT SA HIDDEN CHARGES NG IBANG TELECOM CO. FOR THIER PROMOS???…..MY GOODNES….hindi katulad ng globelines walang hidden charges….macharge lang ako kung mag-long distace ako sa ibang network. But im glad na nag-complain ka about sa kanilang services at LEAST ALAM NILA HOW TO FACILITATE THER SERVICES. thank you for your wonderful journal about Globelines. =)
aww… i’m planning to subscribe pa naman in Globe..
good thing i found this site..
actually,, i had a great time with our own server,,.. but yes, i rilly can say that globelines is very unprofessional server..
i have been having trouble with my Globeline Broadband. First the phone line went dead for almost 3 days and after the have fixed the problem, my Internet Connection failed. I have contacted their Customer Service and i got the same “Cabinet” replies…
Could someone please send me a link where I can make a report online. I have been searching for their Online Customer service for a while now and I cant still find it.
I cant make a dial-up connection either because of the “cabinet” issue. An error message always pop-up stating “No Dial tone” even if the phone is working.
Maybe guys you can raise your issue on Globeline’s bad service to the NTC. Its no use just complaining about it here. Anyway, I’m a relatively new SNS subscriber. I applied Monday (April 23) with the Globelines Manila office, and got connected Thursday (April 26) with my internet normalized the following day.
I noticed though that lately they are slow especially from 6PM onwards. But that has so far been okay with me since I usually surf early in the morning when speed was not a problem.
I also read the negative comments of many Globelines subscribers, but I decided to gamble on it since its been more than 8 months that I’m waiting for a PLDT DSL connection. So far, I’m getting my money’s worth, but I only wished it would have been better. Still crossing my fingers though.
Your right Ed, we should take our problem futher to NTC.
I already did just now, as I can no longer wait for another day (i have been waiting for my connection 3 days ago), I called NTC hotline 921 3251. You will be advise to make a complain letter, you must write down all about your grievances with your connections and landlines and have faxed it to 924 4084 / 924 4026 or you can send it via email to complain@ntc.gov.ph.
Maybe we should act now and stop this “lock-in subscription service” thing in our country if they cannot provide what they have promised us consumers for a monthly subscription fee.
Globelines asked me to pay P500 advance payment, the agent promised that they’ll connect the DSL within two weeks.
Its almost 2 months, the’re still asking me to wait because there is no available broadband yet in Sampaloc and said I can have a refund.
When I got to their Innove office at UN, the said they have no fund for refund, they’ll just call me when they already have the fund for refund.
They’re last reason was that their agent’s house got burned!
I’ll never deal with Globelines again.
Hi. I am from Batangas City and might I say, I’m experiencing the same problems as most of you guys. Globelines never seemed to recover ever since the Taiwan earthquake. I get disconnected every 30 minutes or so; causing my IM applications to disconnect as well (this is very bad especially if I’m in the middle of an important conversation). Also, our speed greatly decreased. I can remember a time when we constantly reach the top speed of 384kbps at home. Now, it feels like 128.
And yes, customer service is crappy. A “sorry” will never solve their mishaps; they need to act, too.
i don’t have my connection yet for globelines and globe broadband but i have applied already. i am planning to get the 1 mbps package for faster downloads. reading your posts here, who would care about speed when you’ll have frequent, long-straight-days disconnection. i need an internet connection so badly now that i am going homebase for a project offered. is smartbro any difference? does globe broadband subscribers in makati area also experiencing the same problem? or this is a deep trouble for globe broadband subscribers nation wide?
globelines hah ambot ninyo poor services always intermitent internet connection
from discontented globe innove ayala subcriber….
hi everyone
im a broadband globe subcriber from neg.oriental ..for almost two month now i never experience without intermitent internet connection.WWWow pare talagang da beast ang globe kong maroon lang iba dito papalitan ko na tooooo.
I Cannot use my There Philippines when im using my Globe Broadband…. i’m just using dial up now i cant even download anything…. we have PLDT DSL on our workplace and it is much much better than Globe….. Globe is a RIP-OFF… we fully regretted subscribing to this crap.
Hi,
My website
http://www.sibonga.com/
was down because of Globe I think.
Oh yes, We got disconnected with Globe ever 2 hours while we’re paying PHP 3000 for 2 MB, well we are happy to reach 600 kbps, so complaining and complaining and complaining…..
while their customerservice and callcenters SUCKS
Mr Ong
What i dont understand is that callcenters got redirected to another country regarding IPs, we did that to and works great (for a few hours) but why did Globe not told us that too???
And why does the government allows such a bad companies like Globe and PLDT to be the masterminds in teh Philippines only while their services is very bad. Guys, isnt time that foreign PTT firms like ATT or internet providers like AOL also can come in even by prepaid and download their services like skype does? The problem here it still needs to go via Globe or PLDT and since the corruption is a bad part in the Philippines, maybe we cna only dreaming from this speed.
Beside, the callcenters of Globe SUCKS and alomost no one picks up the phone. Also payments >> A callcenter in Manila, a accounting department in Cebu and the services in Bacolod, now, how does this people cooperate? Answer: No at all, allthough you have paid the bill, you still got disconnected because another departtment dont know about it.
I guess, we should all no longer use GLOBE anymore, beside their rates, do you know that rates abroad are much cheaper and more reliable than in the Philippines? You get DSL even out of ASDL from the TV and radio connection in the house. Even when Globe or PLDT install a phoneline, how many times customers complaining about that Globe and PLDT had damaged the windows. screens etc… What a jokers.
Shame on Globe and PLDT
Mr. Ong
Hi Math, is your broadband connection still down? They took 5 days to fix my problems. I’m going to discontinue the service after May, when the lock-in period ends.
I’m going to try MyDsl because most of my highschool friends are subscribers and they have fewer problems compared to me. Subscribing to SmartBro would be the last thing I’d do, at this time I’m more comfortable with a fixed line service than a wireless one.
Yes, we Silangueños should really vote for our true kababayan, even for the rest of 3rd district citizens. Our district could really use a change in leadership.
I live near the public market, where are you located?
HI! Finally, I found someone from Silang who’s also a globeline broadband subscriber. I have been wondering for a long time how I could find someone (from my area) to ask if we’re having the same problem at the same time. I have always had a difficult time (internett connection problems are not too often though) getting through technical support via 171. Most of the time it would take me the whole evening before someone gets my call. I notice that I usually get through between 2 am and 6 am in the morning, after waiting for someone to answer for more than 6 hours! I’ve never had to do this too often though as I only had a few problems (about 3 times) with the connection in the past year. I had been a proud user of globelines broadband for a while. I was even encouraging my cousins to switch to it…… But this time I want to give up subscribing to it. Its been a week since I lost my dial tone, thus, i got no internet connection, too. ‘Been calling 173/171 from an uncle’s globeline or my cellphone everyday so that they could send someone to check. They said someone would come in 24 or 48 hours. It has been 6 days since I reported it but no one has come. I need to be online everyday to keep in touch with family abroad.
I have subscribed to Smartbro at work as I do not have my own telephone line there. And yes, I never had a problem with it even after that Taiwan earthquake. There’s a smart cellsite right in front of our house and I am thinking of switching to Smartbro and give up globelines. Do you think it’s a wise idea? I am not considering MyDsl as I’ve heard a lot of negative feedbacks about it, too.
Why are you not considering SmartBro?
re: district rep… try natin our “true” kababayan?? lol
BTW, are you in the town proper? I am.
@ Kid: Oh yes. Thanks for reminding me this little info. Since it’s election time, maybe this could be used to pick whom to vote for as our district’s Representative.
AFAIK, the reason that Bayantel isn’t available in Cavite (and other areas for that matter) is because they don’t have a franchise to operate in the area. The only telcos that I know have a franchise in Cavite are PLDT, Globe and Digitel. And it takes a congressional act to grant a franchise to a telco.
As for me, I’m a happy SkyDSL (Bayantel) subscriber.
I did tried going to the internet shops, but unlike Manila, shops here were optimized for gaming so once the owner knew I was going to upload over 3 GB of data I was turned away.
Oh well, this has happened. The damage has been done and I can’t wait for next month to come.
Hahh hah, with regard to uploading your video , you could have tried going to an internet cafe with a copy of your files handy in USB drive and pay hours of uploading that huge amount of data. Apparently, people playing online games will suffer from what your doing. Im using SmartBro, sometimes I hate it , sometimes not. Downtimes are few and would not last 24 hours.
Sir JC John SESE Cuneta, Julius, thanks for the warning. WIll keep it in mind.
Gaaah…If only I weren’t fed up much with my dial-up. Sigh, sigh. I have to know what ISP provides the best service in our area.
i share ur sympathies. i have no dsl connection since friday, that’s march 30, 2007. sabi ko, k lang, it happens. restart ko modem ko, la pa rin. kol ako sa tech dept nila, abah! at si josh groban, walang pahinga, isang oras na kumakanta sa kabilang linya. kaya ayon pumindot na lang ako na any number makausap lang ang service rep. at sa awa ng Diyos, 7 days later, la pa rin akong internet connection. patay ang trabaho ko. nakadial up nga lang ako ngayon eh! kung nakamamatay ang walang internet connection, naaagnas na katawan ko ngayon!!!
T_T
duh, we all have common problems. Globelines broadband s^cks! I’ve been experiencing problems for 3 months now since I switched from their unlimited dial-up service. And it’s like I have still the dial-up thing! Arrgggg!
Check my entry here:
http://www.writinerary.com/2007/04/04/globelines-poor-service/
i am a new Globelines Broadband 1 mbps customer since march 9. So far, I have had 2 minor disconnections. I hope I never have to experience long down times. I heard that there is a different contractor in Cavite. Maybe the materials are substandard.
@ J Angelo: I just so wish bayantel will offer its services here in Cavite soon. It makes me wonder how come they haven’t done this yet?
@ Aja: I tried looking up some concrete results via Google Trends but there isn’t enough search volume for those terms – yet. Experience, comments and the e-mails I’ve been getting tell otherwise. Globelines simply sucks.
@ Schumey: I will make the switch come May, and to be honest, my dad is urging me to see a lawyer. LOL
@ Shari: By all means you must rethink. Do some research in your area, ask around especially those who are already on Globelines. You know we have the saying in Filipino: “nasa huli ang pagsisisi.”
@ JC: Right on dude! And I just had the worst of it.
Count me in… Im starting to dislike Globe Innove.
Yes @Shari, keep your money for now and wait. These ISPs will force you to sign a 1 year contract with them, so be patient more and see what will happen in the next few weeks or even months.
Same thing with us, for two days we lost dial-tone (and so the Internet), and all we got was “sorry we found out from our box that your line was accidentally tripped by one of our people while installing a new line”. That’s poor service #1.
Poor service #2: You can forget about calling their Tech support because no one will answer you – never ever. 4 Times, I waited 3 hours each, nothing, and all they can say is “sorry, sorry, and sorry”.
Poor service #3: Frequent disconnections for various reasons… they have so many excuses just because we don’t run our own ISPs and they’re assuming we’re that stupid?
They have areas wherein their service is great, like the promised 24 hours technical support right at your home, and their non-tech support call agents. But it still all comes down to “connection” and “speed”, all those positive areas of their service is negated if speed and connection is very bad or there are frequent disconnections and slow downs. I guess it’s time for them to upgrade their facilities, re-train their people, and announce if they got back 100% of their connection from the Taiwan quake. I only heard BayanTel’s announcement about that, not with Globe :/
So that means I have to rethink my decision to apply for Globelines broadband.
I’m on Tri-isys’ unlimited dial-up, and I pay for the phone & internet bills, so Globelines budget bundles is really tempting since I’d be paying less a month.
Nagdadalawang-isip na tuloy ako. o_O
But anyway, I’m really sorry for the hassle that Globelines has caused you. Losing a job is no easy matter especially if it’s because of a crappy service you’re getting.
I had my broadband and phone line installed just las may 9 since then I have been calling their customer service to fix the fuc&*^%$#!!ng phone line, I( have not been able to use it even up to now. Although my broad band drains my patience at time due to its intermittent service, I was able to partially use.
I have decided to cancel my subscription to avoid getting hypertension. They failed to fully activate my service so for me it “No Deal” man.
Time to switch and I would take Arbet’s advice seriously. Maybe you can seek assitance from the DTI.
I had mentioned a few times in the past that the state of our local online experience as a whole is about three years behind that of the United States.
In addition, our local high speed Internet access cost is staggering; it needs to be decreased substantially.
Wouldn’t it be nice to teach us that hack, mr. jangelo?
I use bayantel. Mom (sexy mom) has the P1699 768kbps account (I used to live next to their house and that was what I signed up for back then). I, meanwhile, use the P899 512kbps account. For just + P300 per month, I get landline service. For just + P99, unlimited WiFi via airborne access.
Now I do have a hack that lets me surf at 768kbps (or even higher, maybe) even without the speed-on-demand active during off-peak hours.
Time to see a lawyer… LOL just kidding.
We love our BayanDsl–never a problem since it was installed many many months ago (or is it years?).
i guess 5-day rebate is not enough. Globe should compensate you for the lost opportunities, the stresses and relationships soured. on the positive side, i guess there are some people (particularly in your freelance writing stints who still believe in you, despite the delays…)
Apparently, my G broadband account is intermittent. Like, brrr…. once every 10 minutes. I have no choice. Pre-termination fees would only cost me a fortune. Brrrr again.
I heard that bayantel is good, but they almost stole my wallet so I went for PLDT, and I’m regretting it.
Before the Taiwan earthquake, all I know is that most people hate Smart Wifi/Bro and PLDT myDSL for crappy services. But since we haven’t any other options [back then] here in our city, I opted for the better of the two—myDSL. Even though there were times that I get interruptions, it wasn’t at all bad enough.
When the Taiwan earthquake took place, more intermittent disconnections happened but it was understandable. But then, when off-peak hours came just days later, I could reach up to 900 kilobits per second connection speed. And, since then, after the restoration, though I was back to the normal 200-300 [384] kb/s speed, the quality of connection was better. I even have more search keyword logs with “globe/globelines problems” than “pldt/mydsl problems.” I guess I’d be sticking with this one for a longer time than I expected.
i live in the Mandaluyong area… yeah, disconnections happen so often that i taught even my househelp to do it for me when i am not at home… and this was happening since late January of this year… :s
i have reason to hate them, too… my connection until today still keeps on disconnecting for no apparent reason… i’d still need to reboot the modem just to get back a connection… not to mention its slow speed…
**sigh**
when can i get a decent connection?? probably time to look at bayantel, too…
full story is found here
@ the jester-in-exile: Yup, I’ve been hearing about how attractive the renamed bayantel is. J Angelo Racoma is on Bayantel, and he’s quite happy with it. They have this amazing rebate scheme backed by P10 million (i think) peso investment.
Globelines, PLDT and Smart bro’s degenerating quality of service is part of the economic principle in which dominance of the market by old giants and monopolies result in poorer qualities of goods and services simply because there’s no need for the big names to improve any further since they are already on top. Because of this, we the paying consumers are the ones who suffer.
@ sonnie: Down with them? I say to hell with them.
i’m increasingly hearing bad things about globelines, smart bro, and pldt mydsl, and increasingly positive raves about bayantel.
any truth to these?
I can relate… Down with the poor service providers.
