That just seems archaic! Why would a school have a problem with putting hair products in ones hair? Wouldn’t they rather have students with neatly coiffed hair rather than messy hair that goes everywhere when not using products?

I can remember going to high school with my hair full of gel, but my mum used to nag me saying your hair is wet you will catch a cold every day for 5 years! I don't believe there is any truth to my mothers old wives tale, do you?

I remember how my younger brother would spend a chunk of his time fixing his hair and putting gel before going to school. The hardest thing he had to go through was to have his hair cut for CAT purpose.
