Globe UNLIMAIL is a new service from Globe that allows us to send and receive email messages directly from our mobile phone. To register, text UNLIMAIL to 8888 and you will receive an SMS message that contains a wap link to download the UNLIMAIL application for free.

The current handset models that are compatible with Globe UNLIMAIL are the following:

Nokia E Series: E51, E90, E65
Nokia 3120, 5300, 5310, 6210, 6220, 6280, 6300, 6500 Silde, 6600 Slide and 7210 SuperNova
Sony Ericsson K770i, K8000i, K810i

With Globe UNLIMAIL you will have the following features:

  • Gmail – Inbox, Contacts and Calendar (including Google Apps)
  • Hotmail/Windows Live – Inbox

  • AOL Mail – Inbox
  • ISP-based POP3 or IMAP accounts – Inbox only
  • Microsoft Outlook – Inbox, contact and calendar
  • Outlook Web Access – Inbox contacts and calendar

The service for free until March 31, 2010. Afterwards, you can continue to subscribe using the following commands:

Php 30.00 for 5 days, text UNLIMAIL30 to 8888.
Php 145 for 15 days, text UNLIMAIL145 to 8888.

I’ve been trying to download the UNLIMAIL app on my K800i phone but to no avail, it’s either the servers are being swamped for requests or there’s something wrong with my phone’s WAP settings. I’d post more once I get the app working and have used the service.

Anyone who has tried UNLIMAIL? What’s your take on it?

Thanks! But I got the app working on my K800i now. What I'm having trouble is, having it work with my Google Apps account.

Any help here would be hot! :D
