The date is set, Google will finally unveil its latest phone on October 4, 2016 as it has released a teaser video showcasing the Google Search bar morphing into a shape of a phone with the date Oct 4 on one side and the Google “G” logo on the other:
The same teaser video is the only thing you’ll find in a newly launched Google site: madeby.google.com and it’s expected to be updated with more teasers and content as we get closer to October 4.
And if that’s not enough for an official confirmation, Google posted the tweet below using the hashtags #madebygoogle

As there no mentions of the Nexus brand in all of these, it’s another confirmation that the new Google phones will be carrying the Pixel brand and the devices are made by HTC. Leaks and rumors around the web tell us that there will be two Pixel phones, the 5.2-inch full HD Pixel powered by a Snapdragon 820 while the larger one is the Pixel XL sporting a 5.5-inch Quad HD display and running on a Snapdragon 821 chipset.
I was thinking of upgrading to the Nexus 5x from my current Nexus 5 in order to get Android Nougat but with the Pixel coming out next month, waiting for a little more time and taking a look at what the Pixel phones would actually be like is the best thing to do for the moment.
Anyone else excited about the Pixel phones?
