Forum on HR 1109 @ DLSU-Dasmariñas
Tomorrow, the LCDC, SERVE Volunteers and the Social Sciences Department of De La Salle University – Dasmariñas will launch a forum on House Resolution 1109 with guest speakers Fr Joaquin Bernas, SJ of the Ateneo Law School and member of the 1986 Constitutional Commission, Rep Elpidio Barzaga, Jr of the Cavite’s 2nd district who’s one of the congressmen who sponsored HR 1109 on the floor the night it was railroaded by the House and Jaz Lumang, Executive Director of IBON Foundation.
Different schools in Cavite have been invited to attend the forum which will begin at 2pm until 5pm at the Auditorium of the Severino De Las Alas Hall in DLSUD.

It would be a very interesting forum as this is, to my memory, a first in which one of the sponsors of HR 1109 would be given the chance to address the academe in order to shed more light on the Administration’s side on the matter, as opposed to the analysis of a Constitutional expert and the opposition of government critic.
Hopefully though, all would go well.
