Boo! Inquirer.net has pop-up ads!

This is just terrible. I never thought it would come to this.

inqpopup

Their site already takes eons to load fully especially if you’re on a dial-up connection because of the a$$loads of ads on their pages.

And now pop-up ads?!

What is the world turning into?

  1. Based on the image posted above. i think the pop ads doesn't belong to inquirernet. if you'll study it carefully. the pop up url you got there refers to http://media.adrevolver.com. When i view their html source code and Javascript in it, they uses doubleclick ads, which is google also uses. i think the pc where you got this screenshot has a spyware in it. i also encountered it before, instead of showing their ads, porn ads were displayed.

  2. Don't tell me that they're not earning enough from their current advertisers that they now are resorting to pop-ups! Shame really…

  3. And it's not even the popup that loads over the webpage, but in a new browser window. Are they that backwards or what? Tsk, tsk, tsk.
