Heath totally deserved this and blew that role out of the water. I'm still not getting Brad Pitt for Best Actor though, don't think he did much in that movie, was more special effects than acting. My recent post Best Actor is Tom Hanks

I was not a Heath Ledger fan before this film. I thought of him as just another "pretty boy" actor. But I have to say I honestly think his portrayal of the Joker is the finest example of acting I have ever seen. He was truly amazing and I can see how deep he got into this role. If he doesn't win it would be wrong.
