So Pluto is no longer a planet, does it really matter?

I mean with Pluto no longer a regular planet, do I have to change something about my lifestyle of least my everyday routines? I think not, do you?

I told my friend of this little question of mine and he told me that it was unlike me, it was unscientific for me as a Bio student and a science geek to ask this question. Am I wrong? I asked him the same question, “Will Pluto’s demotion affect your life?” He just stood still and shrugged his shoulders. For once, I’m not trying to be a geek, I’m just being practical.

Just the same, some one please tell me if I’m wrong to think like this and ask such questions.

Books, tags, memes and 5 bloggers

One book that made you laugh:
Pugad Baboy 17 - Brosia rules!!!

One book you have read more than once:
Das Kapital by Karl Marx (direct German to English translation) - my mind went numb for days upon my first chapters. I actually read it over 5 times, I knew I should’ve read Marx for beginners beforehand, oh well.

One book you would want on a desert island:
U.S. Army Survival Manual - Eric and I are on the ’same page.’

One book that made you cry:
Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden - a beautiful book.

One book you wish had been written:
Bonifacio: Siya ba ay kilala ko? by Ed Aurelio Reyes - an excellent companion to Ambeth Ocampo’s “Rizal without the overcoat.”

Saving lives with your computer

Come to think of it, isn’t true that you’re barely using the full capacity of your computer’s horsepower? You conduct a performance test only to find out that the fraction of your computer’s full capacity and capabilities that you use on your average e-life could be delivered by an another computer costing less than what’s on the price tag of your machine?

Simply put, you’re not using your computer to its full capacity, hence its full monetary value. That’s your hard earned-money idling away inside a metal box with a lease to be on the “latest model” shelf for barely three years.

Worry not too much. For there is hope in turning this investment into something worth every centavo you’ve sweated and toiled over for it.

LSS: Stars by Callalily

I love the looks, visuals and texture of the video. Music-wise, I think the drums on this track really rocks and is a good compliment to the soft yet angsty guitars. Music buffs may disagree but that’s what my ears heard. hehehe

Though the lyrics tend to be repetitive and the song has not much depth meaning-wise, unlike Kamikazee’s Narda, the song is still a great track for it hits you right where it hurts and it’s quite hard to resist being nostalgic about past relationships both good and not so good.

Microsoft Bintana

Maybe the rumors were true, and that Microsoft secretly released a closed beta of a Filipino version of its Windows operating system aptly called, “Microsoft Bintana.” Maybe my best friend of a friend of his friend who had a friend who then knew a friend who had a brother who was among the select-few to test the much controversial version of Windows solely for the Philippines.

Oh snap out of it. Still, inside is a screenshot of what Microsoft Bintana would’ve and could have looked like.

Why did the chicken cross the street?

And here is a question that has been asked since the dawn of man:

A primary teacher, Plato, Aristotle, Captain Kirk, Machiavelli, Freud, Moses, Darwin, Einstein, Hemingway, Homer, Christopher Columbus, Nietzsche, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Elvis, Fox Mulder, Descartes and even Donald Trump.

They have all weighed in and gave it their best and shared their answers to this one question that still baffles the human thought since time immortal.

Do you dare to answer? ;)
